About Wescana Foods
Our Story
Wescana was started with a the intention of bringing safe, clean, and pure oats from the Canadian praries to a wider audience in western Canada. Our founder Randy Sihota grew up in the Natural foods industry, and was motivated to start his own Oat company after learning about the need in the natural foods market for affordable, clean oats. Randy is committed to keeping Wescana Canadian, in terms of production and packaging.
Our oats come from the Canadian praries and are proudly sourced by our partners at Avena Foods. Our oats follow a strict and comprehensive Purity Protocol set by our friends at Avena Foods to ensure that we are providing our consumers with gluten-free oats every time.
We are distributed by our partners at Nationwide Natural Foods, and are pround to say that they have had Wescana’s back from the very beginning of our journey.
Randy Sihota – CEO & Founder
Randy started Wescana with the goal of bringing delicious Canadian oats to a wider consumer base across Canada. This goal is at the heart of Wescana’s mission to increase the consumption of local foods to help reduce the collective carbon footprint of the Natural and Organic food industry.
Randy is an integral part of the Nationwide Natural Foods as well, and has been working in the Natural foods industry since he was a mere 13 years old. His expertise and work experience in this industry has led him to great success.
Kamryn Sihota – Brand Manager
Through her work with Wescana, she aims to help Wescana reach new heights in the Natural and Organic food industry, as well as increase awareness on the benefits of eating whole foods, like oats. Wescana has provided her with a creative outlet that also makes a difference.
Kamryn grew up watching her dad work and thrive in the Natural foods industry and is excited to work alongside him at Wescana Foods.
